On New years eve I went to my Nana's house. My friend came with us. We went swimming at my Nana's
house. We had a blast. What did you do this new year? I sure hope you had a great one.

Sounds like fun Maci! We went to a party at our friends house. They didn't want their kids to stay up until midnight, so they changed all the clocks in the house 2 hours earlier so their kids would think they actually stayed up until midnight! :) So when we left the party it was really only a few mins after 10:00. Funny huh?

Maci, sounds like you had fun - so did we. Uncle Cort and Grandpa and I took Peyton, Darius, and Maya to the movies. Afterward we were going to come down to swim, but it was so late. We went home and played games until midnight.

Aunt Megs' comment reminded me that Grandpa and I turned our clocks ahead on New Years when your mom was little. We had a party with our neighbors, the Walters, and we all went outside when the clock said midnight and banged pots and pans and lit fireworks. Then all the kids went to bed - it was really only 10:00. Now that we're older, I think I'll turn the clocks ahead for Grandpa so he doesn't have to stay up so late on New Years Eve. Don't you think that's a fun idea?
